Global Configuration

The Global Configuration window displays the following:

Balancing Status – Enables or disables URL Balancing. URL Balancing balances the number of URLs, by hits, on each cache server.
Balancing Ratio – The percentage of diaparity between the number of URLs when URL balancing should begin
Balancing Interval – How often, in seconds, to perform URL balancing.
Balancing Threshold – The difference between the number of URLs on servers that inidicates when to begin. Threshold AND Ratio.
Balancing Algorithm – Best Fit: chooses the URLs to transfer based on how few can be transfered while acheiving balance. First Found: in chronological order.
DNS Primary Address – The primary address of the DNS server.
DNS Secondary Address – The secondary address of the DNS server.
DNS Enable – Enables and disables CSD DNS support. DNS support is only necessary if you wish to enable Direct URL policies (see Setting URL Policies above).
