Network Address Translation (NAT)

CSD supports NAT. If a client’s address is an illegal address, or if a session is the result of another session originating from the client, the CSD will be used as a NAT machine. You use the NST table to configure NAT support. The NAT table includes the following fields:

To enable/disable NAT:
  1. From the CSD menu, choose NAT.
    The NAT table appears.
  2. From the NAT Status pull down list, choose the status.
  3. Click Set.
    The NAT status changes.
To enter a NAT address:
  1. From the CSD menu, choose NAT.
    The NAT table appears.
  2. Click .
    The NAT Table Insert window appears.
  3. In the NAT address field, enter the IP address.
  4. Click .
    The NAT Table Insert window closes and the address is added to the NAT address in the NAT table.
  5. Optionally, repeat steps 2-4 to insert up to 7 addresses.
  6. In the NAT table window, click .
    The address(s) are added to the NAT address list.
Note: NAT cannot be enabled in regular type VLANS.
