DNS Configuration

You can provide a virtual DNS address that can be backed up by the redundant device. If the device fails, DNS requests will be handled seemlessly and transparently by the redundant device.

The DNS Configuration window contains the following fields:

Virtual DNS Address – The DNS address of the main device.

Redundant DNS Address –  The DNS address of the redundant device.

DNS Response TTL – The number of seconds that DNS responses are cached. The default setting is 0, which means the response is not cached.

Two Records in DNS Reply – Enables and disables the return of two A records in the DNS response. Enable returns two A records, disable returns one.
