Dynamic Content Checks

You can configure which HTTP codes will be accepted by the WSD as an indication of proper connectivity between the device and the Web page. If the return of a code is not enough, you can have the WSD check for a specific text string on the requested page. Moreover, you can decide whether the presence or absence of the text string constitutes a successful connection.

To configure Dynamic Content Checks:

  1. From the WSD menu, choose Farm Parameters.
    The Farm Table window opens.
  2. From the Farm Table, select the Farm you want to configure.
  3. Click Dynamic Content Checks.
    The Content Check table appears.
  4. In the Search String field, enter the string to search for.
  5. From the Check Mode menu, choose the mode:
    • String Exists - Checks whether the string is present.
    • String is Absent - Checks whether the string is absent.
  6. Click .
The string is added to the Dynamic Content Check list. You may assign only one string to each farm.
