Distributed System: Report Configuration

This window displays all WSD DS/NP devices which recieve reports about the load on the local farm. When distributing clients, the WSD DS/NP will consider the actual load on these WSDs while making the redirection decision.

The Report Table window displays the following:

Farm IP Address – The IP address of the farm.
Distributed Farm Address – The remote farm address on another WSD DS/NP whose clients are redirected to this farm.
Remote WSD NP Address – The IP address of the WSD DS/NP interface to which the report is to be sent.
Redundant Remote Address – The IP address of a redundant WSD DS/NP that backs up the remote WSD DS/NP. Load reports should be also be sent to the redundant unit.
Mapped Farm Address – The IP address of the farm to which remote clients are redirected by the local WSD DS/NP device (used for the triangle redirection). This address is sent so remote devices will know which farm to access in case of redirection. Clients are considered clients of the distributed farm and not of the local farm.

To insert remote WSD DS/NP devices:

From the WSD menu, point to Distributed System and click Remote Configuration.
The Report Configuration Table window opens.
Click .
The Report Configuration Table Insert window opens.
Enter the appropriate information.
Click .
The Report Configuration Table Insert window closes.
In the Report Configuration Table window, click .
The remote device is added to the list.
