Clients Table

This window displays all of the clients connected to the WSD. These may include static clients manually added to the clients table, and dynamic clients that connected to a server dynamically.

The Clients Table window displays the following:

Farm Address – The IP address of the farm.
Client Address – The IP address of the client.
Attached Server Address – The IP address of the server that the client is connected to.
Last Activity Time – The time that the last packet was transferred during the current session.
Attachment Time – The time that the client first connected to the server.
Client Type – The type of client, either Static, Dynamic or NAT. Static clients are assigned specific servers within the farm to which they will always connect. A dynamic client is connected to whichever server is available when the connection is made. NAT clients are sessions initiated by the servers. As such, even when the server is disabled, these sessions remain active. Only removing the server will remove these records.

To add a static client to the client table:

From the WSD menu, point at Clients and choose Client Table.
The Client Table window opens.
Click .
The Client Table Insert window opens.
Enter the appropriate information.
Click . The Client Table Insert window closes.
In the Client Table window, click .
The client is added to the list as a static client. Note that for a Static client, even if the server it is assigned to is down, communication will not be redirected to a different server.
