URL Super Farm
The WSD can redirect traffic to farms using URLs or file extensions rather than a virtual IP address. In this way, several HTTP server farms can be defined on the same virtual IP address and port, which saves IP addresses and increases the flexibility of the network.
The Super Farm Table window displays the following:
- Host URL The URL of the super farm. You can also enter file extensions (e.g., .img or .txt), so that requests for files of the type are directed to a particular farm.
Farm IP Address The Farm IP address directing all the sessions corresponding to the URL Super Farm IP address and port. This IP address should be the IP address of one of the farms that were defined.
