To install an application on the server
Once you have the Netscape Application Server installed and running, you are ready to install an application. Installing an application to a single Netscape Application Server is done by the developer from the Project Manager of the Netscape Application Builder. The basic steps are described in the following section.

To install an application on the server

  1. The developer deploys the application project file from the Project Manager of the Netscape Application Builder. Access to the destination server is needed, so you must give the developer the Developer system password.
  2. Once the developer deploys the application to the Netscape Application Server, the application files are copied to their respective directories.
  3. You can now monitor the application, enable the event log, and set up application security.
  4. For more information about these tasks, see "Monitoring a Netscape Application Server," "Logging Server Messages," and "Securing Applications."
