The Netscape Application Server architecture contains the following components: The Administrative, Executive, Java, and C++ Internal Servers System-Level Services, such as the request manager Application-Level Services, such as the data access engine This section discusses the internal servers. For a discussion of system-level services, see "System-Level Services" on page 23."System-Level Services." For a discussion of application-level services, see "Application-Level Services" on page 24."Application-Level Services." The four internal servers, which are sometimes called processes or engines, are responsible for all processing within the Netscape Application Server. The Administrative Server provides for server administration and failure recovery. The Executive Server provides most system-level services. The Java and C++ Servers provide application-level services.
