Adjusting Database Cache Parameters
Adjust the database cache parameters to allow the Netscape Application Server to hold more or fewer database connections in a cache array. Holding database connections in the cache allows applications that reuse connections frequently to connect to the database more quickly.

To adjust database cache parameters

  1. Open the Database tool of the Netscape Application Server Administrator.
  2. In the Enterprise window, select the database for which you want to adjust the database cache parameters.
  3. For the 2.0 release, all databases use the same setting. Therefore any adjustments you make for a database applies to all of the databases to which the server connects.

  4. In the Information window, under Cache, enter the new values for the following parameters:
  5. Click Apply Settings to save the changes to the Netscape Application Server.
