Registering a Netscape Application Server
Registering a Netscape Application Server adds that server to the scope of the Netscape Application Server Administrator. This is best done after you add a server or a group of servers to the enterprise.

Once you register a server, you can use the Netscape Application Server Administrator to manage it and the applications stored on it. You must register a Netscape Application Server before you can administer it.

To register a Netscape Application Server

  1. Open the Configuration tool of the Netscape Application Server Administrator.
  2. Choose File - Register.
  3. The Register Netscape Application Server dialog box appears.

  4. In NAS Name, specify the name of the server.
  5. In Host, specify the host name for the server.
  6. In Port, specify the port number for the Administrative Server.
  7. Under User Name and Password, specify the username and password you entered during installation of the server or when modifying the Users and Groups.
  8. (Optional) To always connect to this server and display it in the Enterprise window, select the Connect to this server checkbox. This is the default.
  9. When you are finished, click OK.
  10. The server is registered.
