Applying Settings from One Server to Another
You can apply settings from one server to another, or from one server to a group of servers. This saves you time when making global changes.

Settings are copied and applied on a tool basis. If you are in the Database tool, the database settings are copied and applied.

To apply settings from one server to another

  1. If you are changing a server configuration, finish making those adjustments.
  2. In the Enterprise window, select the server from which you want to copy settings.
  3. From the Tool bar, select the tool containing the settings you want to copy.
  4. Choose Edit - Copy XXX Settings (where "XXX" is the name of the panel you are currently in; for example, "Copy Configuration Settings").
  5. In the Enterprise window, select the server or group of servers to which you want to apply the new settings.
  6. Choose Edit - Paste Settings.
  7. The settings are applied to the selected server or group of servers. Settings such as ACLs and Users and Groups are appended to the already existing entries of the server being updated.
