Implementing AppLogic Access Authentication
AppLogic access verification is a simple security system that you implement by explicitly specifying the users/roles and groups that are unauthorized to invoke specific AppLogic objects. For more information about AppLogic access verification, see "About AppLogic Access Authorization."

By default, all users and roles are authorized to invoke all AppLogic objects installed on the Netscape Application Server. To implement security for specific AppLogic objects, you need to remove the appropriate users/roles or groups from the authorized list.

To implement AppLogic access verification

  1. Open the Application tool of the Netscape Application Server Administrator.
  2. From the Enterprise Window, select the AppLogic object for which you want to implement security.
  3. Click Set Application Group Access Control.
  4. The Access Control dialog box appears.

Note that by default, the Users/Groups with Access box is always empty.

  5. Remove the appropriate users/roles or groups from the Users and Groups with Access box.
  6. When you are finished, click OK.
