Configuration File Error Messages
The following are descriptions of various error messages you may receive when generating redundant configuration files.
Backup Device To Main Device
Error: Regular farm found
on backup device.
The backup device should
contain only backup farms.
Check that the CDB file is a
file from a backup device.
Error: No backup farms
found.
There are no backup farms.
The CDB was downloaded from a device that is not fully
configured or the CDB was downloaded from a main device (if you received the
regular farm error).
Warning: Interface Grouping
should not be enabled on backup device.
Enable
Interface Grouping on the device from which the CDB was downloaded. Go to the
menu
Warning: IP Redundancy
Admin Status should be enabled on backup device.
Enable IP Redundancy Admin Status on the device from which the CDB was
downloaded. Go to Router --> IP Router --> Operating Parameters and enable
IP Redundancy Admin Status.
Error: Interface x.x.x.x is
missing from CDB file.
You should have
Interface x.x.x.x in the CDB file. The CDB did not originate from the device
from which you are currently working or the CDB file should be updated because
the device configuration has changed.
Warning: Redundancy table
does not contain all interfaces.
Interfaces
that are not in the Redundancy table will not be created for the main device.
Check that the CDB is updated, and you did not forget any interfaces. You may
configure an interface to access the backup device only.
Error: No Redundancy table
found.
There are no entries in the redundancy
table. The CDB was downloaded from a device that was not fully configured or the
CDB was downloaded from a main device.
Warning: Virtual DNS
address in DNS configuration is not empty.
The
backup device is not using a Virtual DNS address, only a Redundant DNS address.
Check that the CDB was downloaded from a backup device.
Main Device to Backup Device
Error: No regular farms
found.
There are no regular farms. The CDB was
downloaded from a device that was not fully configured or the CDB was downloaded
from a backup device (if you received a backup farm error).
Error: Backup farm found on
main device.
The main device should contain
regular farms only. Check that the CDB file is a file from a main device.
Warning: Interface Grouping
should be enabled on main device.
Disable
Interface Grouping on the device from which the CDB was downloaded. Go to
menu
Error: IP Redundancy Admin
Status on main device is enabled.
Disable IP
Redundancy Admin Status on the device from which the CDB was downloaded. Go to
Router --> IP Router --> Operating Parameters and disable IP Redundancy
Admin Status. Or your CDB file is a file from a backup device (see if you have
errors on redundancy table).
Error: Interface x.x.x.x is
missing from CDB file.
You should have
Interface x.x.x.x in the CDB file. The CDB did not originate from the device
from which you are currently working or the CDB file should be updated because
the device configuration has changed.
Error: Redundancy table on
main device is not empty.
You cannot have a
redundancy table on a main device. Your CDB file is a file from a backup
device.
Warning: Redundant DNS address in DNS
configuration is not empty.
The main device is
not using a Virtual DNS address, only a Redundant DNS address. Check that the
CDB was downloaded from a main device.
Mutual Device
Error: No regular farms found.
There are no regular farms. The CDB was downloaded from a
device that was not fully configured or the CDB was download from a mutual
device.
Error: No backup farms found.
There are no backup farms. The CDB was downloaded from a
device that was not fully configured or the CDB was downloaded from a mutual
device.
Warning: Interface Grouping should be enabled on
source device.
You should enable Interface Grouping on the device
from which the CDB was downloaded. Go to menu
Warning: IP Redundancy Admin Status should be
enabled on source device.
Enable IP Redundancy Admin Status on the
device from which the CDB was downloaded. Go to Router --> IP Router -->
Operating Parameters and enable IP Redundancy Admin Status.
Error: Interface x.x.x.x is missing from CDB
file.
You should have Interface x.x.x.x in the
CDB file. The CDB did not originate from the device from which you are currently
working or the CDB file should be updated because the device configuration was
changed.
Warning: Redundancy table does not contain all
interfaces.
Interfaces that are not in the
Redundancy table will not be created for the target device. Check that the CDB
is updated, and that you did not forget any interfaces. You may configure an
interface to access the source device only.
Error: No Redundancy table found.
There are no entries in the redundancy table. The CDB was
downloaded from a device that was not fully configured or the CDB was downloaded
from a device that is not a mutual device.
