Configuration File – Error Messages

The following are descriptions of  various error messages you may receive when generating redundant configuration files.

Backup Device To Main Device

Error: Regular farm found on backup device.
The backup device should contain only backup farms.
Check that the CDB file is a file from a backup device.

Error: No backup farms found.
There are no backup farms.
The CDB was downloaded from a device that is not fully configured or the CDB was downloaded from a main device (if you received the regular farm error).

Warning: Interface Grouping should not be enabled on backup device.
Enable Interface Grouping on the device from which the CDB was downloaded. Go to the menu --> Global Configuration and disable Interface Grouping.

Warning: IP Redundancy Admin Status should be enabled on backup device.
Enable IP Redundancy Admin Status on the device from which the CDB was downloaded. Go to Router --> IP Router --> Operating Parameters and enable IP Redundancy Admin Status.

Error: Interface x.x.x.x is missing from CDB file.
You should have Interface x.x.x.x in the CDB file. The CDB did not originate from the device from which you are currently working or the CDB file should be updated because the device configuration has changed.

Warning: Redundancy table does not contain all interfaces.
Interfaces that are not in the Redundancy table will not be created for the main device. Check that the CDB is updated, and you did not forget any interfaces. You may configure an interface to access the backup device only.

Error: No Redundancy table found.
There are no entries in the redundancy table. The CDB was downloaded from a device that was not fully configured or the CDB was downloaded from a main device.

Warning: Virtual DNS address in DNS configuration is not empty.
The backup device is not using a Virtual DNS address, only a Redundant DNS address. Check that the CDB was downloaded from a backup device.

Main Device to Backup Device

Error: No regular farms found.
There are no regular farms. The CDB was downloaded from a device that was not fully configured or the CDB was downloaded from a backup device (if you received a backup farm error).

Error: Backup farm found on main device.
The main device should contain regular farms only. Check that the CDB file is a file from a main device.

Warning: Interface Grouping should be enabled on main device.
Disable Interface Grouping on the device from which the CDB was downloaded. Go to menu --> Global Configuration and enable Interface Grouping.

Error: IP Redundancy Admin Status on main device is enabled.
Disable IP Redundancy Admin Status on the device from which the CDB was downloaded. Go to Router --> IP Router --> Operating Parameters and disable IP Redundancy Admin Status. Or your CDB file is a file from a backup device (see if you have errors on redundancy table).

Error: Interface x.x.x.x is missing from CDB file.
You should have Interface x.x.x.x in the CDB file. The CDB did not originate from the device from which you are currently working or the CDB file should be updated because the device configuration has changed.

Error: Redundancy table on main device is not empty.
You cannot have a redundancy table on a main device. Your CDB file is a file from a backup device.

Warning: Redundant DNS address in DNS configuration is not empty.
The main device is not using a Virtual DNS address, only a Redundant DNS address. Check that the CDB was downloaded from a main device.

Mutual Device

Error: No regular farms found.
There are no regular farms. The CDB was downloaded from a device that was not fully configured or the CDB was download from a mutual device.

Error: No backup farms found.
There are no backup farms. The CDB was downloaded from a device that was not fully configured or the CDB was downloaded from a mutual device.

Warning: Interface Grouping should be enabled on source device.
You should enable Interface Grouping on the device from which the CDB was downloaded. Go to menu --> Global Configuration and enable Interface Grouping.

Warning: IP Redundancy Admin Status should be enabled on source device.

The CDB did not originate from the device from which you are currently working or the CDB file should be updated because the device configuration was changed.

Warning: Redundancy table does not contain all interfaces.
Interfaces that are not in the Redundancy table will not be created for the target device. Check that the CDB is updated, and that you did not forget any interfaces. You may configure an interface to access the source device only.

Error: No Redundancy table found.
There are no entries in the redundancy table. The CDB was downloaded from a device that was not fully configured or the CDB was downloaded from a device that is not a mutual device.
