About Hosting Applications Locally on Multiple Servers
This is the simplest of configurations. You work with the application developer to install the complete application on each Netscape Application Server. For more information about doing this, see
If you already have the application installed on a Netscape Application Server, you can use the Netscape Application Server Administrator to deploy the application to the other servers. For information about deploying applications, see "Deploying an Application."
Supporting applications locally on multiple servers means that each server is a stand-alone entity. To ensure performance of such a configuration, you need to have multiple Web servers, one or more, for each Netscape Application Server. This way, requests are forwarded to each individual Netscape Application Server and do not bottleneck at just one Web server. The following illustration depicts such a local hosting configuration
This type of configuration requires that you configure each Web connector plug-in to forward requests to the appropriate Netscape Application Server. For more information about configuring the plug-in, see "About the Web Connector in a Multiple-Server Enterprise."
