Disabling an AppLogic Object
Disable an AppLogic object when you need to stop users from accessing the object. This is useful for circumstances such as when the developer is upgrading that part of the application or if that object is no longer needed because it is being replaced by a newer object.

Disabling an AppLogic object allows the current requests to finish, but does not allow any new requests to begin.

To disable an AppLogic object

  1. Open the Application tool of the Netscape Application Server Administrator.
  2. In the Enterprise window, double-click the server and select the group of AppLogic objects to which the object you want to disable belongs.
  3. In the Information window, select the AppLogic object you want to disable.
  4. In the Enabled column, uncheck the Enabled checkbox for that selected object.
  5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 for each AppLogic object you want to disable.
  6. If you want to disable all the AppLogic objects in a group, click Toggle Enabled.
  7. Click Apply Changes to save your changes to the Netscape Application Server.
  8. The selected AppLogic object or objects are disabled and stop accepting new requests. The AppLogic object continues to process requests that are already queued.
